About

Meet the Maker

Selah, maker behind Selah Handcrafted Art

Hi, I’m Selah. I create functional art from wood and epoxy, often inspired by the Gulf Coast—ocean blues, sandy neutrals, and organic textures found in nature. Each piece begins with thoughtful design and carefully chosen materials, coming together through a hands-on process that balances form, function, and fine detail.

I’m especially drawn to materials with character, like pecky cypress, where natural voids and textures become part of the design. Many of the woods I use are personally gathered or carefully selected from distinctive regions across the country. My work includes whiskey smokers and lathe-turned pieces, blending traditional woodworking with modern epoxy techniques. From selecting each board to refining the final finish, every piece is crafted with care, precision, and lasting quality in mind.

Our Process

Based in Florida • Handcrafted in small batches

Each piece begins with carefully selected wood and a design shaped by the natural character of the material. Epoxy layers are poured and refined by hand to create depth, movement, and balance.

From shaping and sanding to the final finish, every step is completed in my studio with close attention to detail and lasting quality.

Materials & Origins

Each Selah Handcrafted Art piece begins with carefully gathered wood chosen for its character and story.

My collection includes rare Florida Pecky Cypress, richly grained Black Walnut from the Ozarks, Walnut and Maple from the Poconos, and river-worn driftwood gathered from Alaskan rivers. Each board reveals natural textures and grain shaped over decades.

Rather than forcing uniform designs, I work with the wood itself—allowing each piece to guide the final design and ensuring no two are ever exactly alike.
